A 43-year-old pilot was arrested on the night Nov. 3 at a Wally Park in SeaTac. Police suspect the man of car theft and DUI. The pilot was scheduled to fly a commercial plane for Omni Air to Japan from Seattle on the morning of Nov 4. Anyone facing criminal charges should be aware of their legal rights before making any decisions about their case.
According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the incident began at the Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center. A Bainbridge Island man, 66, entered his rental car, and the pilot got into the car's backseat. The victim asked the pilot why he was in the car. The pilot responded, "You know, you know." After a verbal argument, the man pulled a handgun on the pilot, and a physical altercation began. The two men got out of the car and, after a further altercation, the pilot got inside and drove away.
Employees at the WallyPark called authorities to report an injured man in the parking lot. Police soon arrived, and found the pilot and the car of the victim. The pilot was arrested and booked into King County Jail. He was released without bail.
The pilot in this case now faces charges for car theft and DUI because of these allegations. Anyone facing charges similar to the ones in this case should know their legal rights to help them throughout their case.
